ALBERTO D’OCCHIO

Founder & CEO

Born in 1987, he holds a Master’s degree in Building Systems Engineering from Politecnico di Milano,
where he also completed a second-level Master’s in Project and Contract Management. He is registered with the Order of Engineers of the Province of Bergamo (No. A4428) and listed in the National Register of Fire Protection Professionals (No. BG04428I00650).
Since 2015, he has developed his career at Gualini S.p.A., taking on roles of increasing responsibility—from Façade Engineer to Technical Director—overseeing the Engineering, Technical Design, and BIM departments.
In 2025, he founded SYNTHESIS SRL, an engineering company specialized in curtain walls and complex structures. Passionate about façade engineering for its unique blend of architectural aesthetics and engineering complexity, he collaborates with universities and research centers on topics related to integrated design, environmental sustainability, and materials innovation.
Among his key certifications are:
– Advanced Training Course FACE – Facades Architectures Construction Engineering (Eurac Research, Bolzano)
– Lean Six Sigma Project Leader – Data Analyst Certification (OP22156)
– Certified Energy Assessor for the Lombardy Region
He is the author of several scientific publications in the engineering field, with a focus on fiber-reinforced composite materials and technologies applied to curtain walls. He is also a member of the UNICMI working group for drafting national guidelines on the application of regulations for curtain walls and balustrades.
